About Me

star_fish.jpg

Hill Country Soap Co. is located in the beautiful Texas Hill
Country, which is just northwest of our state capitol, Austin, in the small town of Leander, Texas. Like many people, I have suffered from skin sensitivities from commercial bath soaps most of my life, and began dabbling with soap making for my own personal use. One year, after getting pretty good at making soap, I gave gifts of my soaps to family and friends for birthdays, thank-yous, Christmas, etc. To my surprise, my gifts were such a big hit that my family and friends were calling and asking for more on a
regular basis, and so, with the nudging of my husband and very closest friends, I started Hill Country Soap Co.
I would not have been able to do this without the encouragement from some very special people, you know who you are. They have been with me from the start and have helped me out regularly at shows, and are great to try new product ideas out on. My Mom and mother in-law are always encouraging me not to give up on my dream, and their words bring me comfort when the going gets tough. Last but not least, my husband, who puts up with me and my crazy sleepless nights when I have large orders to fill or when I'm preparing for a big show. I thank them all, and I thank you, my wonderful customers who make me feel very special with each and every order you place.

Kindest Regards,
Chris - Proprietor
